When we arrive we will take down your medical history, take a before set of vitals, and have you sign a consent form. Next, IV access will be established and the infusion will be started and the additives you want will be mixed into you IV Fluids. Once your infusion is complete, we will take a post set of vital signs, remove your IV, and you are done!
This is all person dependent. Most people report that all that is felt is just a slight pinch when the IV if first placed. The IV should not be painful while fluids are infusing and if it does make sure to let us know!
